Fungi Forays in Mid Wales

Britain has the perfect climate for some of the most delicious wild mushrooms known to man. They grow in our woods, pastures and hedges by the bucketful, right on the doorstep of the Mid Wales Bunkhouse, yet almost all of us ignore this natural bounty.
These one-day forays are conducted in the spectacular scenery of Mid-Wales. Unlike many other forays, they focus on edible species. They are all about what is good to eat – and what to avoid.
Led by Daniel Butler, environmental writer and fungi-fanatic, these forays are targeted at the beginner. They seek to de-mystify fungi; to guide the novice through the good, the bad and the ugly to the genuinely delicious.
Full details can be found on the fungi Forays website. You can join an organised group, or if you have sufficient people we should be able to arrange a foray just for your group, especially if you book well in advance or when you make your accommodation booking..
